RUSSELL EAGLE BEAR

He once taught in a classroom. Today, he’s still teaching — about yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

Russell Eagle Bear is a respected cultural liaison, historic preservation officer, and tribal leader whose work centers on Lakota history, tradition, culture, and the protection of sacred places. Through decades of teaching, advocacy, preservation work, and service to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe, he has helped ensure that cultural knowledge and tribal history continue to inform both the present and the future.
